Most privacy policies are written to protect the company. This one is written so you can actually understand what happens to what you give us. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it in a real sentence.
Honey and Lotus is a health intelligence company founded by Yolanda McHenry and based in the United States. We publish research, education, frameworks, and intelligence tools for women.
You can reach a real person at 1honeyandlotus@gmail.com.
If you join the Intelligence Letter, we collect the email address you type in. That is the whole list. We do not ask for your name, your age, your location, your health conditions, or anything else as a condition of joining.
We collect it for one reason: to send you the Intelligence Letter. That includes the welcome letter, research and pattern analysis, and notice when the Whole Woman Intelligence Profile opens.
If you reply to an email or write to us directly, we have what you sent. We read it. Sometimes a question a woman asks shapes what we research next. We will never publish anything you wrote, quote you, or identify you in any way without asking you first and getting a clear yes.
The Pattern Scan collects nothing. This is worth being specific about, because the questions are personal.
Every answer you select stays inside your own browser, on your own device. Nothing is sent to us, to any server, or to anyone else. We never see it. We could not retrieve it if we wanted to. When you close the tab, it is gone.
The only way we ever learn anything from you on that page is if you separately choose to enter your email address at the end. Even then, your answers do not travel with it. We receive an email address and nothing more.
Our website host keeps ordinary server records, the kind every website on the internet generates. That includes things like which pages were loaded and roughly where in the world the request came from. We use this only to know whether the site is working. It is not tied to your identity and we do not build profiles from it.
Running a website and sending email requires established service providers, and they store your address on our behalf so that the site works and the letter arrives. They are bound by their agreements with us and none of them is permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We do not give your information to anyone else, for any reason, at any price.
These are two different things and you are entitled to both.
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send. It works immediately and there is no survey, no guilt, and no attempt to talk you out of it.
Write to 1honeyandlotus@gmail.com and say you want your information deleted. We will remove your address from the mailing list and from the website records and confirm to you when it is done. You do not need to give a reason.
You may also ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you. It will be a short answer, because it is an email address.
This website is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so in the Intelligence Letter rather than quietly editing the page and hoping nobody notices.
